This is Ondre, the son of one of the Astronomers here at the institute, Petr Skoda (seen at the bottom). The photo is from the demonstration by the Czech Academy of Sciences (again, more on that later). Briefly, the demonstration was about cuts to funding basic research, and the demonstrators were wearing donkey ears to signify their rhetorical question "you think you can make donkeys out of us?" Yeah, I didn't quite get it either, but it was funny to see all these people in donkey ears.
Ondre was also at a barbeque I attended at the Institute, a goodbye party for Danka who is going to Thubingen. He spent most of the time singing the riff to "Smoke on the Water", which was completely lost on the Czechs, but which I, as would any Guitar Hero, recognized immediately.
