You Have Miami Wice?

In the movie Eurotrip, eastern Europeans are lampooned for watching old American shows of debatable quality. "You have Miami Wice?"

Well, it's somewhat true. The first night I got in, I turned on the TV only to find that I might still have to see Sex and the City reruns, dubbed in Czech of course. I was tired, but I wanted to get up and smash in Sarah Jessica Parkers already squashed nose just a little bit more. Ugh.

Then, at lunch (see previous post), Teresa asked me if I had ever seen "bee bank teary", which I finally figured out was "The Big Bang Theory." Now, I vaguely know from watching the NCAA tournament or something that "The Big Bang Theory" is a CBS show about twentysomethings in some city. I don't watch it and nobody I know watches it, or at least nobody admits to watching it. But Teresa and Viktor were indredulous that I had never seen it; they absolutely love it and promised me I will love it too, as I will be watching a lot of it in the coming weeks, they assured me.

Let the great experiment begin!

Note: Upon further review (thanks wikipedia), Big Bang Theory might have a chance with me. It has a themesong by the Barenaked Ladies (win), science and math references (win) and is produced by none other than Chuck Lorre, who 90s pop-culture dweebs like me know as the guy who wrote the totally tubuluoso music for the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon (epic win, hi torbert!). Then again, he did create "Two and a Half Men." Guess I'll just have to see.
